Editor’s first blog

Finally! The preparation of STAMP has been fabulous, but now the time is approaching to hurry up and get this fashion tabloid out there, you readers deserve it!

Leading up to this date there has been a lot of fun and a lot of hard work! As the launch of STAMP is approaching, with a magnificent launch party also coming up I may add, life has no intention of slowing down by any means for me or my four STAMP ladies.

The girls in my team are fantastic, check out their profiles…. Their adoration for fashion, clothes, graphics and design means they are writing about what they truly love, and what you truly love to read.

As a team they are also a little bit crazy… It isn’t uncommon for the best ideas to have been sourced from a night of wine, cocktails and dancing with an incredible concept or idea for STAMP being scribbled, barely legible on the back of a beer mat, or a serviette covered in lipstick and stains from their pint or cosmopolitan; these ladies drink both!

It’s occasions like that however, that reinforce that these ladies live for fashion. You see Fashion and STAMP appear hand in hand. Our fashion is aspirational, yet will inspire you to take it on, and create a style that reflects you and who you are as an individual. STAMP will help you uncover your true self and let you shine in all your glory, whatever that may be!

So be excited, and watch this space. STAMP Fashion tabloid is coming soon…

here’s a little summary of whats to come:

- Events wise, the fashion knitwear show at the Trent union on the 25th @8pm is in our diaries, images will b on the website!
- To answer sophie’s question, we launch on the 4th June around Nottingham but are appearing at Graduate Fashion Week in Battersea on the 3rd as a kind of a preview

Dear founders of Stamp,

What a refreshing and personal publication! Loved looking through your website as an avid fan of fashion magazines.
It is great to see the faces behind the words on the website. The black and white photographs and personal comments are very effective.

I found your list of favourite bars, hair salons, shops very informative and of value. I have only visited Nottingham on a few occasions, and therefore not particularly “in the know” regarding places to visit. How often do you visit a place and not know what is on yr doorstep?! Thought your tips were great.

The bold simplicity of your website design and use of colour facilitates easy, enjoyable and effective reading.
Good luck with it guys - looks as though you are hitting the fashion world by storm!

Melanie ;-)

Just found your site, got to say its good. Also I like the high contrast, and simple layout. Not like some other flashy fashion sites out there. This is good for people like me with visual difficulties. Keep up the good work!
Its also an interesting read, but you don’t need to be told that.
Thanks

With reference to the ‘Cool-Hunting Berlin’ Archive in the Gallery… don’t you just love the laid back style those guys manage to pull off with such ease! I’m not so keen on boys in skinnys but the girls look relaxed and HOT! Markets look cool too. I want to go… STAMP tell us more about Berlin. please.

I came to Nottingham, have been here 3 years, love the music scene, love the fashion, but STAMP is just what i’ve been looking for. It seems that London gets the most credit for fashion and shopping but we Nottingham people know differently. It’s great that there’s finally a publication out there that shouts this view!
The website is great and i love the fashion map especially, can’t wait to see STAMP hit the shops!!!!
